Incoming Freshmen

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers Institutional and Endowed scholarships to eligible students. Some of the scholarship programs are automatically renewed as long as eligibility criteria is met. In order for funds to be disbursed, the student must be enrolled at A&M-Corpus Christi in a minimum of 30 semester credit hours for each of the Fall and Spring semesters, and meet the specified scholarship requirements. Awards are limited to availability of funding.

*Must be a resident of the Coastal Bend and graduating from a Coastal Bend High School.

 

Eligibility & Renewal Requirements

  • Must complete the scholarship application section of the Apply Texas Application.
  • Must complete a FAFSA Priority will be given to those who complete the FAFSA by December 1, 2017.
  • Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA at the end of each academic year (fall, spring and summer).
  • Must succesfully complete 30 semester credit hours EACH academic year (Fall,Spring, and Summer) at A&M-Corpus Christi.
  • Must be continuously enrolled in classes.
  • Students are eligible to receive the scholarship award for eight consecutive semesters, fall and spring, towards the completion of the first undergraduate degree.

Students will apply for endowed scholarships utilizing our online scholarship application. Please note that students will be redirected to the application, and will need to log in using their Islander ID and password. To obtain your Islander ID and password, click here.

 

Applicants are encouraged to submit a FAFSA each academic year.  Students who are unable to meet the enrollment requirements due to limits set by their academic program, graduation, course offerings, approved disability accommodations, or other circumstances beyond the student's control may submit a Scholarship Enrollment Exception Form for consideration.
