Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers a number of academically competitive scholarships for first-time, incoming freshmen. Please review the information below for further details regarding available opportunities, deadlines, etc. Number of awards and amounts are subject to availability.
2012-2013 Apply Texas Scholarship Application
The Apply Texas Scholarship Application can be used by incoming freshmen to apply for awards provided through the following University scholarships programs:

How to apply
Incoming freshmen students can apply for the Presidential Scholarship and Student Leader Scholarship by submitting the Apply Texas Scholarship Application available at www.applytexas.org no later than December 1, 2011. For your scholarship application to be considered, you must also have submitted your application for admission, high school transcript(s), and ACT or SAT test scores by this deadline.Award decisions will be made based on your class rank and test scores. All scholarships require that you be admitted to the University, maintain full-time status, be degree-seeking, and in good standing with the University. Number of awards and amounts are subject to availability.
2012-2013 Undergraduate Scholarship Application
The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Undergraduate Scholarship Application can be used to apply for awards provided through the following University scholarships programs:
- Most major-specific scholarships (see our Major-Specific Scholarships page for excluded majors)
Upon submission, the Scholarship Coordinator will review your application to determine which scholarship(s) you are eligible for and forward it to the appropriate committee(s) for consideration.

Eligibility requirements
In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must:
- Submit an Undergraduate Scholarship Application.
- Be admitted to attend Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
- Be a full-time student.
- Be seeking a degree.
- Have/maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (unless otherwise noted) and be in good standing with the University.
How to apply
Current students can apply for available scholarships by submitting the Undergraduate Scholarship Application available at tamucc.scholarships.ngwebsolutions.com no later than March 1, 2012. Your application will be reviewed by the appropriate committee and ranked based on your cumulative grade point average, transcript, community involvement, essay, resume and other criteria. Please note that your application will be evaluated and awarded according to the grades demonstrated on the transcript(s) received by the review date. Number of awards and amounts are subject to availability.

- Athletic scholarships
Students seeking athletic scholarships should send inquiries to the coach of their intended sport. - Honors Program scholarships
The Honors Program at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi offers scholarship opportunities to students. Those wishing to be considered for a scholarship must be admitted to the Honors Program and must submit the Honors Program Scholarship Application by the posted deadline. For more information, please visit the Honors Program web site. - Islander ESL Scholarship - The University offers a $1,000 Islander ESL Scholarship to students who have completed an English as a Second Language (ESL) course in high school or beyond.
- Partnership for Primary Care Scholarship
Scholarships are available to students accepted to the Partnership for Primary Care Program. Students must complete either the Apply Texas Scholarship Application or the Undergraduate Scholarship Application, and contact the College Health Professions Advisor, Dr. Suzzette Chopin.
