Incoming Freshmen

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers Institutional and Endowed scholarships to eligible students. Some of the scholarship programs are automatically renewed as long as eligibility criteria is met. In order for funds to be disbursed, the student must be enrolled at A&M-Corpus Christi in a minimum of 30 semester credit hours for each of the Fall and Spring semesters, and meet the specified scholarship requirements. Awards are limited to availability of funding.

1. Institutional Scholarships

Deadline: December 1, 2020

Admission applications submitted by December 1 will serve as scholarship applications for the First Time in College scholarships program. Please note that High School Transcripts and Test Scores must be postmarked by December 1st to be eligible for the awards.

*** Due to the Coronavirus impacting SAT and ACT testing, for the 2021-2022 Incoming Freshman Scholarships, we will be using a student’s High School Rank and their High School GPA converted to a 4.0 scale. ***

*GPA Scores will be converted to a 4.0 scale internally.
** Must be a resident of the Coastal Bend area and graduating from a Coastal Bend High School.

Eligibility & Renewal Requirements

  • Must complete the Apply Texas Application by December 1st, 2020.
  • Must be a Texas resident. Out of state candidates will be considered if funds are available.
  • Must complete a FAFSA Priority will be given to those who complete the FAFSA by December 1, 2020.
  • Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA at the end of each academic year (fall, spring and summer).
  • Must successfully complete 30 semester credit hours EACH academic year (Fall,Spring, and Summer) at A&M-Corpus Christi.
  • Must be continuously enrolled in classes.
  • Students are eligible to receive the scholarship award for eight consecutive semesters, fall and spring, towards the completion of the first undergraduate degree.

Email notifications of institutional scholarship awards will be sent to both the Islander and Personal email addresses.  Acceptance forms must be signed and returned in order to receive the scholarship award.

A. Endowed Scholarships: 21-22 TAMU-CC Undergraduate Scholarship Application

Deadline: March 1, 2021

Students will apply for endowed scholarships utilizing our online scholarship application. Please note that students will be redirected to the application, and will need to log in using their Islander ID and password. To obtain your Islander ID and password, click here. This scholarship application is available for all incoming, transfer and current undergraduate students.

B. Honors Program scholarships

The Honors Program at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi offers scholarship opportunities to students. Those wishing to be considered for a scholarship must be admitted to the Honors Program and must submit the Honors Program Scholarship Application by the posted deadline. D. Athletic Scholarships

Students seeking athletic scholarships should send inquiries to the coach of their intended sport.

Students applying for additional scholarships are encouraged to submit a FAFSA each academic year.  Students who are unable to meet the enrollment requirements due to limits set by their academic program, graduation, course offerings, approved disability accommodations, or other circumstances beyond the student's control may submit a Scholarship Enrollment Exception Form for consideration.
